Yo. Izza update.

Wow. It’s been a while but I’m *finally* back.

I fully acknowledge that I've sucked at keeping up with this thing. I can’t use the excuse that grad school is crazy and I haven’t had any time, because I graduated four months ago. Instead I could use the excuse that it’s because I practically get carpel tunnel daily typing therapy notes and answering the bottomless pit that is work e-mail, and I'm tired. Just kidding, I’m just lazy and haven't felt motivated to. I’d be lying if I said I haven’t enjoyed sitting on my ass in my pajamas covered in crumbs binge watching Love Your Garden instead of blogging. *shrug.*

But! I know I was burnt out and needed the break, the self-care, the time off of any deadlines and assignments and writing. Including this blog. I needed to vege out, to be completely useless, to refuel. I’ve gotten more sleep than I have in years, and I feel rejuvenated! I'm slowly easing back into my carefree, less stressed old me. I’ve started working out regularly, almost every day of the week, I'm eating healthier, and my nightly skincare routine has become one of my favorite parts of the day. I’m reading again, for pleasure this time, which is fantastic. Now I’m hoping to get back into a consistent blogging routine, too.

There are many things I’ve been wanting to write, and to be honest, I don’t even know where to start. I hate small talk, but here’s the scoop: my work schedule changed (I now work Sunday - Wednesdays, which has its perks, but downsides too), I started kickboxing at a new place that just opened in our town which I LOVE (and I’m perpetually sore), I've added a few things to my bucket list, we've been eating pho multiple times a week, and our app prototype is coming along. We booked our trip to Ireland and England in August, and we can’t wait to go.

Today was my grandmother’s birthday and we celebrated with pizza and ice cream cake at my parents’ home. It’s a cool 74 degrees with clear skies and a slight breeze, and our little harbor town is pristine and beautiful as ever. I'm thinking a lot about what the future holds, but the present is pretty damn good.
